Selador Engineering is a Structural Engineering consultancy based in the North East of Scotland specialising in Oil and Gas as well as the Renewables Sector.
Established in 2011, Selador Engineering has worked with both domestic and international Clients to provide cost-effective, efficient, fit-for-purpose and high-quality structural engineering solutions to both Greenfield and Brownfield sites.
We also provide Technical Assurance for aging assets as well as work with innovative companies encouraging clean growth, and develop projects to contribute to a future Net Zero economy.
Meet the team
Chris Spellman:
Graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2005 with a degree in Civil Engineering with Architecture, Chris decided to move to Aberdeen to work for a significant Services Contractor in the Oil and Gas Sector. After accelerating through the graduate training scheme, spending some time working in Dubai and progressing through the Structural Engineering discipline, Chris decided to start his own firm to work as the Structural focal point for a new jacket and topsides design in the North Sea. Since then, Chris has worked with a variety of Operators and Service Companies to provide engineering solutions with cost, practicality and effectiveness at the forefront of the design process.
Alexandra Spellman:
Alex graduated from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Civil Engineering with Architecture and decided to work in the Water and Environment Sector for a Multi-National Civil Engineering firm in Aberdeen. It was during this time, Alex decided to move into a Project Management role and eventually moved into the Oil and Gas Sector as a Project Manager. In 2014, Alex joined Selador Engineering to help grow the business.
